Make fun of me all you want, but my guilty pleasure show is definitely "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." This crazy and dysfunctional, yet fabulous and sophisticated family came to fame for basically no reason at all, but our world has been forever changed because of it. If you are not familiar with the show (which would very much surprise me), it shows the day-to-day life and crazy antics of this Hollywood bunch, from their lavish vacations to their daily breakdowns. Although 95 percent of the show is laughable, the other 5 percent of the show has taught me a few things about life. I’m here to tell you a little bit about these lessons.

1. Don’t be afraid to embrace your inner beauty

Even the Kardashians have those days where they are not dressed to the nines; therefore, you're allowed to have those days, too. Beauty comes from the inside, not from our clothes or our makeup.

2. Have fun

Let loose, and don't be afraid to have a little fun. Life is too short be boring.

3. Don't let the haters bring you down

Is someone bringing negative energy into your life? Drop them. You don't need those bad vibes to bring you down.

4. Live in the present

Live it up during your younger years because before long it will be too late. You don't want to be old!

5. Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened

Don't cry; mascara is too expensive. Just laugh instead.

6. Treat others how you want to be treated

This might actually be the most profound thing that Kim has ever said. All the same, respect is a quality that will take you so far in life.

7. You don't have to have it all figured out

Worried about your career, your life or even what you're going to eat for dinner tonight? Have no fear. We're all allowed to have no idea what we're doing sometimes.

8. Dance like no one is watching

Kris and Bruce were living the good life — and you should, too. Bust out those moves every change that you get.

9. Don't be afraid to tell the truth

Honesty is the best policy.

10. Everyone has bad days

While one of your bad days may not be on a Kardashian level, we all get stressed out every once in a while, and there's nothing wrong with that.

11. You do you

Do what makes you happy; don't let pressure from others make you do something that you're not up for.

12. Put yourself before others

Always make sure to love yourself; you are your biggest cheerleader.

While you might not agree with my love for this crazy bunch of celebs, there's no denying that there's a thing or two that can be learned from them. Their luxurious lifestyles and unrestrained fame makes them seem as though they are untouchable figures. While I might not go as far as to say that any of them are my role models, I'm glad I'm not wasting all of my brains cells while watching the show. At least I have learned a few things along the way.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
