Elle Woods is one of the most iconic characters out there, and "Legally Blonde" is one of the most inspiring movies. Between the laughs and plot twists there are some hidden life lessons that make the film the treasure that it is.

1. The cure to a bad breakup is chocolate and trashy TV

When going through hardships, it's important to let yourself grieve. Even the great Elle Woods takes some time to wallow when she's dealing with heartbreak.

2. Go after what you want

Forget the people who tell you you can't do something, or say you're not good enough. Go after whatever you want, and prove them wrong.

3. Don't worry about not fitting in

It's safe to stay that Elle stood out during her first few days, if not weeks, at Harvard, but did that discourage her? Not even a little. In fact, it only encouraged her to try harder, so don't let it scare you.

4. Pets are the best companions a girl can have

Okay, this probably goes without saying, but with the recent passing of the dog who played Bruiser Woods, it's important to recognize Elle's faithful sidekick.

5. Celebrate your achievements

Don't water down your talents to make others feel better. Be proud of what you've accomplished.

6. Make yourself a priority

Both your physical and mental health are important. Treating yourself to a manicure or other types of self care is a must.

7. Let go of unhealthy relationships

Sometimes love isn't enough and you have to get rid of people who don't deserve you.

8. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands

They just don't.

9. Don't be afraid to confront people who are rude to you

Call people out for being jerks and leave the rest to karma.

10. Don't give up

Even on your worst days, when it seems like you're completely out of your element, stick it out, and stick it to the stupid pricks.

11. The best friends are the ones that stick with you through anything

Good friends should support your choices, even if they don't always understand them. If they don't, forget about 'em.

12. Every type of knowledge is valuable.

All of your interests are valid. Who knows, one day that knowledge everyone considers trivial could save the day.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
