One of my all time favorite shows is How I Met Your Mother and I relate to this show in so many ways. My favorite character is Ted Mosby and he's the one I relate to most. I promise, this article will not disappoint you, it's all about love, taking risks, and being okay with your life. I have been trying to figure out what I am feeling and when I look at these quotes they make me feel a little better as many of them are true and they have become some of my most important life lessons. Maybe, some of these will be relatable as well:

1. "The future is scary. But you can't just run back to the past because it's familiar... Yes, it's tempting... But it's a mistake." - Robin Scherbatsky

I promise you can't... and if you keep trying it is just going to get in the way of your destiny.

2. "All these little parts of the machine constantly working, making sure that you end up exactly where you're supposed to be there. The right place at the right time. So there you have it, kids, there's a lot of little reasons why the big things in our lives happen. If I had known then where all those little things were leading me and how grateful I'd be to get there... well, I probably would have done something like this. [Ted goes to every person involved and gives them a hug]" -Ted Mosby

As I keep saying everything happens for a reason... you just have to keep the faith and let things happen naturally.

3. "I think for the most part if you're really honest with yourself about what you want out of life, Life gives it to you." - Ted Mosby

.... Just be honest with yourself.... I know it can be hard but trust me, it can be the most helpful thing you can do for yourself.

4. "Why not just say goodbye to the bad things? Say goodbye to all the times you felt lost. To all the times it was no, instead of a yes. To all scrapes and bruises. To all the heartache. Say goodbye to everything you really want to do for the last time." -Lily Aldrin

It's a lot harder than it sounds; however, it can be good for your health to do this. So do this for yourself and no one else.

5. "Maybe there aren't any signs. Maybe a locker's just a locket, and a chair's just a chair. Maybe we don't have to give meaning to every little thing. Maybe we don't need the universe to that. Deep down." - Ted Mosby

We all know what we want deep down... just don't ever lie to yourself either since it can also be your downfall.

6. "I know that you're tired of waiting. And you may have to wait a little while more but, she's on her way, Ted. And she's getting here, as fast as she can." - Stella Zenman

I love/hate this quote. This quote is a relatable quote as it sucks not to be in a relationship, but you have to think about your future significant other also. They might even think the same about their love life.

7. "Here's the secret kids. None of us can vow to be perfect. In the end, all we can do is promise to love each other with everything we've got. Because love's the best thing we do." -Ted Mosby

You go, Ted! The truth behind this quote...

8. "If you have chemistry, you only need one other thing- timing. But timing is a bitch." - Robin Scherbatsky

Let me say for everyone, we all know this quote to be true.... and, we all have someone like this in our lives.

9. " Actually, there is a word for that. It's love. I'm in love with her, okay? If you're looking for the word that means caring about someone beyond all rationality and wanting them to have everything they want no matter how much it destroys you, it's love. And when you love someone you just, you... you don't ever. Even then. Especially then. You just- you don't give up. Because if I could just give up... if I could just, you know, take the whole world's advice and- move on and find someone else, that wouldn't be love. That would be... that would be some other disposable thing that is not worth fighting for. But I- that is not what this is." - Ted Mosby

Please, can everyone actually get that loving someone is really hard too? Moving on from someone you love is also one of the hardest things you have to do. Even if it is good for you and that person.

10. "Believe or not, I am happy about this and I can finally move on from this [talking about Robin]. This is a good thing.. Really." Ted talking to Marshall

We all have that friend that we can go to about everything. Always thank that one friend.

11. "He's lying, Robin. He's trying to be strong, but it's killing him, so as his best friend, I have to say something that he loves you too much to say. You got to move out." - Marshall talking to Robin

And if your best friend knows that person then they will go to them and say just let them be. Understand their pain.

12. "Here's the funny thing: In my own crazy way, I was kind of happy. For the first time in years, there was no little part of me clinging to the dream of being with Robin. Which meant, for the first time in years, the world was wide open. Because, kids... when a door closes, well... you know the rest." - Ted Mosby

I just love this quote! This is my favorite quote from the series.. and I relate to it so much. Moving on is a part of life.

Here are the 12 quotes that I relate to from How I Met Your Mother. I know, most of these quotes are about love, but many of these do allow you to move on from life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
