I'm the type of girl who loves Halloween but can't ever decide what to do when it comes around. I also struggle with what to do for class and if I even should. I don't want to be "that" girl who goes overboard and everyone rolls their eyes at but I also want to do something festive. I love to get into the Halloween spirit and I think the best way to dress up is through makeup. It stays festive and is totally fun to do but doesn't stand out unless you want it to! Here are 12 makeup ideas to try on Halloween!

1. Sugar Skull - Day Of The Dead

This is an easy makeup idea and super festive. It's pretty and has a pretty cool back story that will generate tons of questions making your costume stand out. Here is a really cute piece by Shonagh Scott. Check out her channel for more makeup ideas and other halloween themed makeup: Shonagh Scott.

2. Scream Queens Makeup

This is such a fun and simple look by the amazing NikkieTutorials. Check out her channel here: NikkieTutorials.

3. Melting Skull

This one is more advanced but totally fun and a bit darker than the sugar skull. Give it a try! Check out more from Desi here: Desi Perkins.

4. Deer Makeup

I love SnapChat which is why I love this filtered inspired makeup tutorial. Its totally cute and fun. Add a sweet dress with some tights and be prepared to wow. Check out Sinead Cady tutorials here: TheMakeupChair.

5. Witch Makeup

This is so fun and dark. It can be sexy or light. Totally reminds me of the House of Night series. Here is a link to Kayleigh Noelle's channel.

6. Vampire Makeup

This channel has a video going up everyday for Halloween and they are just amazing and fun. In this video Ash calls her vampire victorian but honestly I think it can be any era that you please, its look 18 out of 31. She leaves some things kinda up in the air so you can add your own twists and use this as a base board. Check out all her fun, simple Halloween makeup tutorials here: atleeeey.

7. Clown Makeup

I really love this makeup look. It's glam and edgy but be careful with this look. With all the clown problems going lately I'd say this is a risk so maybe plan on being very modern with your outfit. Just a word of the wise! Check out more from Chris here: Chrisspy.

8. Cat Makeup

I love this cat video. I always go as a cat if I'm invited somewhere last minute. It's also super fun because my name is Cat which is stupidly punny. Here is a link to Danielle's channel: Danielle Mansutti, check out her other great videos.

9. Werewolf Makeup

This look is fun, unique, and sexy. Myra is so fun so check out here channel here: mayratouchofglam.

10. Red Riding Hood Makeup

I like this because of its simplicity. It is something that is more subtle than the other looks. Check out Regina in more awesome Halloween ideas here: PICTURRESQUE I Regina!

11. Mad Hatter

Mad Hatter is one of my favorite looks and Lex does amazing with her take on the Hatter. Check out more from her here: Madeyewlook.

12 Glam Fall Makeup

These are for my girls who just want some festive makeup without committing to an actual costume idea. I love these two from Gina (GinsMakeup) and Chloe (Chloe Boucher) check out their channels by clicking the links! I promise you won't regret it. Here are my final two videos:

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
