1. Using your phone while driving.
Put it away. You’re distracted while on your phone, holding up traffic for everyone else and being a dangerous driver.
2. NOT SIGNALING WHEN YOU’RE GOING TO TURN.
It’s called a TURN SIGNAL. It’s there to let other drivers know that you plan on turning or changing lanes. Stop making surprise moves.
3. SIGNALING WHEN YOU NEVER PLAN ON TURNING.
Seriously? Do you know how that thing works?
4. Blasting your stereo with your windows down.
Nobody cares to hear your music. Let other people enjoy their own music. Don’t even get me started on people who are blasting inappropriate songs while there’s a family of four in the lane right next to them.
5. Tailgating.
Back up. Leave room for Jesus — I’m sure that applies to driving.
6. Parking your car over the line.
Those parking lines are there for a reason. What do you think you’re doing taking up two spaces???
7. Not parking close enough to the curb.
GET OUT OF THE PATH OF TRAFFIC.
8. Not making a right turn on a red light.
If there is no sign that says “Do not make a right turn on red light,” THEN MAKE A RIGHT TURN!
9. Stopping in the middle of traffic so you can change lanes.
My instructor had these wise words: “Any driver who causes another driver to do something is wrong.” It is not everyone else’s responsibility to allow you to change lanes. It’s not all about you.
10. Holding up traffic to allow someone to turn in.
It is not your job to suddenly stop all of traffic to let somebody in. They have to merge with the flow of traffic.
11. Messing up at a four-way stop.
It’s a simple pattern. Get it together people.
12. Not paying attention when you are the first car stopped at a light.
You’re sitting there, not realizing the light is green. By the time you actually go, the light is already changing and everybody behind you is stuck at another light.
