It's the most wonderful time of the year ... Christmastime!

There's nothing that I love more than Christmastime and how you cuddle up next to your tree and watch Christmas movies. I love spending time with my family and friends watching some of the best Christmas classics.

So folks, pour yourself a glass of hot cocoa, cuddle up next to the fire and pop in some of these holiday classics to get yourself in the Christmas mood. You have from now until Dec. 25, so start now!

1. "Elf"

My actual favorite Christmas movie; "Elf" is a Christmas must-watch movie. It actually never fails to make me laugh. Also, it makes me always want to get on the next train to the city to go see all of the Christmas decorations and maybe grab a cup of the world's best coffee.

2. "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"

Another one of my personal favorites is "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." It never fails to make me laugh and I completely relate to how crazy it gets when your family is together over the holidays.

3. "A Christmas Story"

The movie is quoted year-round within my household. It always runs on a continuous loop on Christmas Day in my household. Nothing is better than watching the movie with your whole family and crying from laughing so hard.

4. "Eloise at Christmastime"

A childhood favorite of mine; we always watched it while en route to New York while I was a kid. I love "Eloise and the Plaza", and nothing's better than watching it if you're going into the city soon. The movie always made me feel that the Plaza was a magical place.

5. "How The Grinch Stole Christmas"

Another holiday classic near and dear to my heart. It has the power to make your own heart grow three sizes while watching it.

6. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"

A classic that must be watched each year is "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." It will put you right in the Christmas mood.

7. "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town"

Another personal favorite of mine is "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town." It's an oldie, but a goodie.

8. "Frosty the Snowman"

Another one of my favorite Christmas movies. It is the best to watch this movie after the first big snowfall of the season.

9. "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

Who doesn't watch this classic at Christmastime? It always makes me happy to watch it. Also, it makes me think back to elementary school when we sang "Christmas Time is Here."

10. "Home Alone"

It's not Christmas unless you watch "Home Alone", plain and simple.

11. "Love Actually"

A great movie to sit down with your best friends, "Love Actually" is a must-watch. All of the intertwined plot lines show us that Love is really what connects us all.

12. "Four Christmases"

The movie will make you laugh so hard. I love watching "Four Christmases" because it has so many great one-liners that my family uses year-round, including "mistletoe."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
