Young Adult fiction is awesome and is often underrated. There are a lot of life lessons that can be learned from YA fiction. A lot of people often shy away from YA because "Young Adult" is made out to be as if this genre is only made for pre-teens and teens, but that's not the case. YA fiction is made and open to anyone who has the ability and an open mind to good reading.

So here are 11 awesome YA fiction books that everyone should read!

1. "Paper Towns" by John Green.

This book has a bigger meaning to it. It urges us to step outside of the cookie cutter lifestyle and to just live and enjoy life.

2. "An Ember In The Ashes" by Sabaa Tahir.

Everybody loves a good book defiance and courage!

3. "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins.

A dystopian based book about rebellion and standing up for whats right, while also finding courage despite your fears.

4. "Looking For Alaska" by John Green.

This is about discovering who you are and how sometimes you may think you know a person, yet there are some sides that people never really show.

In a world full of supernatural creatures and demon killing angel warriors, this is a great love story that teaches us about love and courage.

6. "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone" by J.K. Rowling.

This is more then just a boy who finds out he is a wizard. Friendship, hope, love and courage are the many things that Harry Potter teaches it's readers about. A message that we can always find love within friends.

7. "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky.

A great book about dealing with depression, friendship and being okay with who you are.

9. "The Darkest Minds" by Alexandra Bracken.

Being able to step out on hope to save the ones you love.

Another awesome book by John Green with so many life messages though metaphors.

All very great reads that will keep young adults and anyone older on their toes. All of these books send out great messages. They teach us how to be strong in tough times, how to have courage despite your fears, how sometimes friendship can be greater then family bonds that aren't there and also just enjoying the small things in life.
