The wave of a yellow towel or the echo of STYX "Renegade" sends any Pittsburgh Steelers fan into a frenzy because of the passion they hold for their team. But with loving steel city, fries on our burgers and Heinz ketchup comes hate from opposing fans. However, nothing can stop the love that Steelers Nation has for their team. These are 11 reasons how to tell you are a true Steelers fan.

1. You carry your Terrible Towel with you wherever you go on game days and believe in the curse of the Terrible Towel.

2. You know American sports journalist and radio personality, Myron Cope as being the "voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers."

3. You are in love with the city of Pittsburgh...even if you have never personally been there.

4. You have been told that the only comeback you have for being a Steelers fan is that you have won six Super Bowls...even if you have other reasons such as the amount of Steelers in the Hall of Fame, loving the Rooney Family and loving what the players stand for (hard work, family, charity, etc.)

5. The Baltimore Ravens...

6. Simply thinking about The Immaculate Reception makes you giddy inside.

7. You yell at Mike Tomlin, Ben Roethlisberger or the referees on your TV as if any of them can hear you.

8. The only ketchup you can ever use is Heinz.

9. Some people see all your memorabilia as a shrine.

10. Even on the off-season you are representing your team...even down to your underwear with the team logo.

11. No matter how much hate you get for being a fan, you could not imagine rooting for any other team.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday.
