While some of these are definitely #momstatus, that's probably because real love shows in the way you make an effort to care about someone. Those three words may be the most famous way to tell that special person how you feel, but they're definitely not the only way to do it. Here are 11 examples of more subtle phrases thatshow them you really mean it:
1. Are you allergic to any medications?
Translation: If something happens to you, I plan on being there, and I want to be able to give the doctors the information they need to save you.
2. Do you have any other allergies?
Translation: If there's something that could hurt you or make you physically uncomfortable, I want to do everything in my power to help you avoid it.
3. How many drinks is that?
Translation: People do a lot of stupid things when they drink, and I don't want that to be you.
4. Fine, I'll come out.
Translation: I didn't really want to go anywhere, but I'd always rather be with you.
5. Hungry?
Translation: I want you to be feeling 100%, and you can't do that if you haven't eaten. Also, I know when you're about to get #hangry, and I'd rather nip that one in the bud, for both of our sakes.
6. I miss you.
Translation: I enjoy having you around, and I don't like it when we're not together. I want to be near you. (Okay, so this one is pretty well-known, but for a reason.)
7. What do you need?
Translation: Whatever it is, I've got you.
8. I'm glad I did that with you.
Translation: Spending time together and sharing experiences with you makes me happy.
9. How are you really doing?
Translation: I care about what's actually going on with you.
10. I saw this and thought of you.
Translation: You are so in my head that the world around me reminds me of you. I wanted to share this piece of that with you.
11. I'm thinking about you.
Translation: You are on my mind because you are a part of me.
