11 Times 'Hannah Montana' Songs Were More Than Just A Theme Song

10 years ago the world was changed when "Hannah Montana" aired on TV for the first time. The spunky, sassy little girl who lived a double life that most little girls and tweens loved, turned out to be a phenomenon of the ages. The show gave laughs, cute boys, and life lessons all in one. Her music she sang reached a deeper level than just some mainstream lyrics that topped the charts. While many thought that her music was childish and too peppy and optimistic, one closer listen to the lyrics of the songs showed what she really stood for and what she was telling her young fans to stand for as well. So here's a closer look at what some of those lyrics really stand for.

1. Life's What You Make It

'Life's what you make it so let's make it rock'

Life really is what you make it. If you want it to be something awesome, then go out there and make something awesome of it. Don't let a negative mind create a negative life.

2. Nobody's Perfect

'Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days...'

Probably "Hannah Montana"'s most iconic song, and rightfully so. The message it portrays is so important in the world we live in today. No one is perfect, so don't try to be. Accept that we're all human and everyone has bad days. The sooner you do, the better off you will be.

3. Who Said

'Who said, who said I can't be superman? I say, I say that I know I can'

You can be anything you want to be. This is so important for people to know. Don't let someone else dictate what you're doing with your life.

4. It's All Right Here

'The grass may be greener in the end I swear, but you'll be wishin' you were here if you were there'

Be happy with what you have. Remember that the grass is always greener on the other side.

5. Bigger Than Us

'I wanna see beyond my own little world'

Look at the bigger picture. This applies to all aspects of life. Don't just look at the 'now', look at the 'later' as well. Look past the town you live in and the friends that you have and see the bigger picture of consequences and decisions, because contrary to what you might think the world does not revolve around you.

6. We Got The Party With Us

'Anywhere we are, anywhere we go everybody knows, we got the party with us'

This song is a reminder that you don't always have to go out to have a good time. You can hang out with friends and have your own party. Just because you didn't get invited to the hottest party of the year, doesn't mean that you still can't have fun. You are the party.

7. Just A Girl

'I'm a lucky girl, who's dreams came true, but underneath it all I'm just like you'

Stay humble. Whatever you do in life, remember that you were once at the bottom of the food chain and you had to work your way up to where you are now.

8. You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home

'Cause when I'm feelin' down and I'm all alone, I've always got a place where I can go'

This song is a good reminder to never forget where you came from. Whether it's something to be proud of or not, don't forget. It's part of what makes you who you are and is a part of your story.

9. True Friend

'You're here til the end.. You pull me aside when something's not right; talk with me now and into the night'

Know who your real friends are. Know which ones would be there for you in the middle of the night when you call versus the ones that would ignore the call to sleep more.

10. Wherever I go

'We may be apart but I hope you know, you'll be with me wherever I go'

Growing up, you have to distance yourself from people, whether it's physically or emotionally. Whether it's by choice or not. This doesn't mean that you have to separate yourself from them completely, it simply means you can't be together for some amount of time, and that's okay. Take them with you wherever you go.

11. I'll Always Remember You

'The times that we had, I'll keep like a photograph and hold you in my heart forever; I'll always remember you'

Losing someone close to you and having to deal with not seeing them anymore is something that most people deal with after a death or a sudden change of surroundings and people in their life. This song reminds you to cherish the times that you did have in your heart and you will always remember them.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
