11 Times Grey's Anatomy broke Your Heart

Grey's Anatomy is known to be an intense show. Shonda Rhimes is no joke, she has no problem breaking her audience's hearts. If you watched Grey's Anatomy from the start, you are probably dead inside. Grey's anatomy has taken my heart and stomped on it several times. Multiple great characters have died or left or even just had their heart broken; it makes you cry watching all of this. Here are 11 of the most heart breaking moments of Grey's Anatomy though there is many more.

1. When You finally find out what was wrong with Derek

In Season 1, Derek seemed perfect, he and Meredith were finally moving forward together. But it always felt like Derek was hiding something or holding back. When Addison Shepherd rolled into town, it finally all made sense. Derek was married.

2. Meredith told Derek to choose her

Meredith didn't usually put herself out there but when Addison came back into the picture, she told (almost begged) Derek to choose her, to love her, but he didn't. Derek went back to Addison.

3. Denny Dies

Denny had just gotten a new heart, he just proposed to Izzy; everything was falling to place. Izzy was going to be Dr. Izzy Duquette and everything was so happy until Denny died an hour later.

4. The homemade bomb

Meredith had a feeling that something bad was going to happen but her friends made her leave the house. Than Meredith had her hands all over a bomb; some days are better spent in bed.

5. Mr. O'Malley died

That entire episode was just heartbreaking especially when Christina shared about her own experience being in "the dead dad club".

6. When you realized who John Doe was

This moment killed me and I think everyone else. Unlike everyone else who died in the show like Lexie, Mark, Derek, etc. George never had a proper Goodbye to his family.

7. Lexie died

Lexie Grey was the less dark and twisty Grey. She was upbeat and dorky, she might of finally been able to be with Mark Sloane until the plane crash. When Mark and Lexie talked about the future they could have together was too much to bare at the time.

8. Mark died

Oh poor Mark. We watched Mark change from a womanizer into a loving father who wanted commitment. And when he said he'll get to be with Lexie; that moment ruined me.

9. When Susan died

Susan was so sweet, she wanted and tried to welcome Meredith into the family. One of the most heartbreaking moments was when Thatcher slapped Meredith blaming her for Susan's death.

10. When Burke left Cristina at the alter

Burke never showed up to his wedding to Cristina Yang realizing he made her change. When Cristina had to be cut out of her wedding dress, you knew it was all over.

11. When Derek died

Derek Shepherd's death was unexpected. You knew there wasn't going to be a miracle surgery or some way to fix Derek. The surgeon that you fell hopelessly in love with was gone. You felt like there was no hope.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
