Many things stress me out- school, family issues/troubles, boys, work, relationships, and everything in between. Being stressed is hard to avoid, because I do believe we all get stressed at some point, but what we can do in order to fight those stresses is to not let stress overcome us.
This list is 11 things I have thought about that you can do to keep those stress levels low.
1. Pray
Nothing calms me down more than just having a conversation with the Lord about my troubles. I can vent out, cry, scream, and tell Him exactly what is on my mind, and soon after that, I feel my worries fleeting away from me.
2. Work Out
When in doubt, work it out! Running, taking a class, or just walking will help you clear your mind, as life gets chaotic and hectic sometimes.
3. Cook/Bake
Recently, I have been cooking and baking more and I must say, it definitely is a stress relieve for me!
4. Clean
I didn't notice in myself until I was in high school that I clean when I am stressed. I am already a neat freak, so if I am taking extra time to clean something, I must be just relieving stress.
5. Sleep
A good nap, or a good night's rest will energize you and tackle the things that may be causing you stress.
6. Call a Family Member
Talking to an aunt, or an uncle, or even a cousin will help with the stress levels go down.
7. Call a Grandparent
Sometimes the one family member you need to talk to is your grandma, or grandpa.
8. Call Your Mom, or Dad
The people who you probably get most of your genes from, will know why you stress out the way you do, and talking to them will help relieve them.
9. Call Your Best Friend
Your best friend is your other half, and will most likely know why you stress out the most, so talking to them, they will either tell you not to worry about, make you forget about it, or just listen to you talk about it.
10. Channel Your Inner Picasso
Sometimes when I am stressed out, I like to paint, or to color. Having something to do where you can just mindlessly do something is all you need to do to be stress-free.
11. Yoga
Yoga is a great stress reliever, and you will feel relaxed afterwards!
