While sibling relationships differ from one family to another, I believe siblings are the built-in best friends that life offers who are always there for you no matter the age difference or how far across the globe you are! Being the eldest with much younger siblings brings a very special experience, and many roles, like being the sibling, the parent, a kid and a friend which makes the bond between each other very strong. I absolutely love having younger siblings!

1. You are the best nanny that your parents could ever have.

Being free of charge, and from the experience taking care of all your siblings, people always tell you how easy it will be for you once you are a mom, because you’ve had enough experience.

2. People think that you are the mother to your siblings

When I go out with my siblings, people give us those looks. One day, I was with my sister and brother then got an old person exclaiming: “Girl, how pitiful, why did you play around while still so young?”

3. If one of the sibling is a baby, he totally forgets you when you go far for university.

You merely become a stranger to your youngest sibling. After all, it's not his fault that you left before he could even walk!

4. You are always in different life stages

My brother is in diapers, my other sister and brother are in elementary school and I am in university! I vicariously experience childhood through them again.

5. You become your siblings' role model.

Your siblings want to follow every path that you undertake in life, being the only comparison that your siblings have. In all the decisions you are about to make, you can’t help thinking of setting a good example for your siblings!

6.You know almost all lullabies for babies.

7. Your parents are much more loose with your siblings than they were with you.

They are definitely way relaxed with them! And so you find yourself always saying "You never let me do that when I was their age!" They can stay up way later watching TV and parents are not as uptight like they were!

9. A birthday surprise rarely goes through when your siblings are involved.

Some way or the other, one of them will tell your parents that you are planning a surprise for them.

10. You become the adult friend for your sibling’s friends.

Because, where else would they find a much older person beyond their family?

11. Sometimes you act bossy.

Because you can play the mom at some point, giving orders to your siblings. And your friends are like "okay, that make sense" when they learn that you are the eldest with very young siblings.

12. You play so hard with them and they make you laugh.

With them you have so much fun that you become their age mate during games.

13. You enjoy their stories from elementary school!

And its always like a memory refresher because it reminds you of what you also went through at their age, and you always think "I went through that as well!"

14. You always call them "baby" brother or sister.

Even when they grow up, its just hard to realize that they are no longer the babies you took care of. It's always a surprise when they call while at college, and you realize how mature they are becoming.

And they are your best friends!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
