We all do it. Someone barges into us in a rush and for some weird reason we end up being the ones to apologize to them. Now, I understand that some people may not have this problem, but I do. And I am working on it. So here are twelve things that you should never apologize for. You've got to fight that impulse, because at the end of the day, you may just end up having to apologize to yourself.
1. For not loving someone back/not returning someone's affection.
The fact of the matter is, "settling" or saying "I love you" when you don't mean it, or apologizing for not loving someone, is hurting you as well as the other person. You should never have to apologize for not feeling something.
2. For getting a better grade than one of your friends/classmates.
Many of us have been in this situation. Everyone gets their tests back, your classroom friend asks what you got and you say a 97 and they say, "Well sh*t. I got a 75." Do not apologize. Fight the urge. You should never apologize for being smart.
3. For sniping the last cookie or last scoop of ice cream or last anything in general.
People got to be quick. Survival of the fittest (or lack thereof in this case) and all that.
4. Don't apologize for taking your time, or going slow when others would rather you hustle your bustle.
You do you.
5. Never apologize for being bold and loud and crazy and out there.
If that's who you are, then that is beautiful. If you apologize for being different, then you are apologizing for being yourself and that is not okay.
6. Never apologize for crying.
Sometimes you need to let it all out.
7. Never apologize for liking a certain show or a certain band or a certain artist.
Who cares if someone hates Taylor Swift (although, I don't know how anybody could hate TayTay).
8. Never ever ever apologize for your sexuality.
It really does not matter who you like, all that matters is who you are.
9. Never apologize for dancing or singing (even if you're bad at it or no one else is doing it).
10. Never apologize for your body.
11. Never apologize for living life fantastically.
The only person you need to apologize to if you do something (even if it was not your fault) is your mom, your boss, and whoever cuts your hair.
