Whether it's genetic or not, overthinking drains you -- mentally, physically, and emotionally. You can't focus on anything else because your brain is full of irrational thoughts. It might legitimately be the worst thing in the world. Well maybe not the worst because there's other very important issues in the world that need more attention, like ending world hunger, but it still sucks nonetheless.
So for all you overthinkers, overanalyzers, and worriers, this is to remind you that, "Hey, it's okay, it happens and you're not alone." But, for those of you who are blessed with the ability to not overthink, here is what goes on for people on the opposite end of the spectrum:
1. That feeling in your stomach, the infamous pit.
2. Way too many "therapeutic" talks with friends.
3. Eating food to distract yourself.
4. Complete lack of focus and motor skills.
5. Not knowing what exactly is going on is slowly beginning to make you go insane.
6. Praying, because if anyone can help it's the Big Man Upstairs.
7. Contemplating options for solving the situation, some better than others.
9. Taking out your irrational emotions on your friends.
10. Laughing hysterically, because you know how crazy seem right now.
11. Finally admitting defeat and realizing that whatever happens happens but you don't care anymore (and blasting "I.D.F.W.U." by Big Sean or "Really Don't Care" by Demi Lovato helps A LOT).
Overthinking will ruin your day: DON'T DO IT. Well, you're gonna do it anyway because if you're wired the way I am you just can't help it. And yep it absolutely sucks, but hey there are some funny gifs to help us get through it. We all have to have a little more faith and trust, which is easier said than done but we'll get there...one day, hopefully...probably not...well maybe...eventually.
