11 Things Lauren Conrad Has Taught Us

"The Hills" used to be the show back in the day that we all wished we could be on. But now that show is our lives with the drama between boys, friends, and going out. It's time to look back on some of the great advice that Lauren Conrad has blessed us with.

1. Things really need to get bad before they can get better.

You need to hit your lowest point so that you can pick yourself up and get to the good point.

2. There are actually people out there who want you to do good in life.

Just because a friendship or a relationship falls through doesn't mean there are not people out there that want more for you then you do.

3. Sometimes, all you can really do is forgive and forget.

You don't always need to be friends or be nice to that person you are forgiving. Forgiving and forgetting means you'll let them leave your life on a good note.

4. In life, you can't tell everyone everything because they will either tell everyone else, or they will use it against you.

You only get those certain amount of people that you can talk openly with and have them not get annoyed. Cherish it.

5. LC said it the best -- there's always one person that you go back to, no matter what.

It's like they can treat you so bad and break you, but yet you can't stay away from them. It's just something that you can't break.

6. Don't ever let anyone spread rumors or start stuff without defending yourself.

Defending yourself lets that person know that you are not scared to stand up for them and fight for yourself.

7. If you can't fess up to the things you do and say then don't do them.

Best thing to do is when your confronted by someone that you did shady stuff to you need to own it.

8. As soon as you realize that you're over that one boy, they always come back.

You can never really break free from someone unless you block them.

9. You can't put your trust in people because one way or another they will screw you over.

Finding out in life that you that trust isn't something you just give away.

10. That boy will screw you over, but don't worry because your best friend will always be there to pick you no matter how much they say, "I told you so."

11. Having that big group of friends isn't what you need in life.

It's about the ones that stay true to you and that you can trust. The fake friends don't stay in your life as long.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
