School has officially started again and 99.9 percent of us are still in denial. Even though it's just syllabus week, school is hard and as the deadlines start to pile on you start to remember what a wonderful blessing it was to be home for a month.
1. Your bed
Oh your glorious perfect wonderful cozy bed is so greatly missed. Nothing compares to your bed at home. There is just something about your bed at home that enables you to blissfully sleep so comfortably for hours.
2. Your parents' food
There's honestly nothing better than food cooked by your mom/dad. Family recipes and having all your favorite food cooked for you is the best. On top of that, there was always a stocked pantry of snacks at home. Blessed.
3.Your gym
I know the campus recreation center is nice but sometimes I just want to go to back to my home gym and be able to work out in peace again without having to see someone I know.
4.Your favorite local restaurant
There are just some food places on this earth that were created by God to bring joy and happiness to people everywhere. One of them most likely exists in your hometown and you crave it like crazy. Round Rock donuts are my kryptonite. If you've had one you know what I mean.
5. Your hometown friends
Nothing like hanging out with the people who watched you go through all the awkward stages of grade school. They've seen you at your best and worst so hanging out with them usually makes for a night full of old stories and laughs.
6. Not having homework
Not having homework is one of the greatest feelings in the world. You don't have to stress about deadlines and it's just so relaxing.
7. Your own bathroom
Not having to share a bathroom with a whole floor of people is so nice. Also not having to wear shower shoes is great.
8. Your ENTIRE closet
Sadly most college closets aren't very big so you have to be very selective about what you get to bring to school. At home you have access to all your clothes and various accessories.
9.The WiFi
I'm not sure what other schools' wifi is like but our goes out frequently and often times is slow. At home the wifi is always so much more reliable and faster so I'm able to watch Netflix for hours on end without interruption.
10. Your pets
Saying goodbye to your pets is the hardest because what if they don't understand that you're coming back for them? Breaks my heart every time. Nothing compares to cuddles on the couch with the one living creature who unconditionally loves you no matter what.
11. Your family
I know most of us by the end of break are ready to go back to our schools and see our friends but after a while you realize how much you miss your family. They're always there for you and time with them is precious.
