I'll be the first to admit it: I love Christmas and the holiday season and the stuffing at Thanksgiving and everything that goes along with it. For some reason, the first of every month gives the world permission to start doing new festive things for that particular season. For me, the beginning of November is especially exciting because the next two holidays are the best holidays. Here are some of the things that start to happen before people have even removed their skeleton makeup from Halloween.
1. Christmas music, obviously! Particularly Michael Bublé.
Oh, that sweet, sweet voice.
2. Red Starbucks cups.
Peace out, PSL.
3. Halloween costumes and candy on major sale.
Go buy next year's costumes!
4. Target's holiday section transforms over night.
As if Target needs more reasons for me to go there all the time. Lights, trees, and ornaments, oh my!
5. "Elf" is on TV all the time.
People who say it's too early are the angry elves.
6. Every food competition now has a Thanksgiving theme to it.
Chopped: turkey edition.
7. Officially cozy sweater weather.
Bundle up while eating the rest of your Halloween candy.
8. Pumpkin flavor switches to peppermint flavor.
Bring on the peppermint bark!
9. The stubble on men's chins have now started.
Women will want them shaved off by Nov. 10.
10. ABC Family's calendar of Christmas movies comes out.
Get your DVR cleared up.
11. New Year's Eve planning has begun.
We try so hard every year to make NYE not a bust.
Enjoy the start of the holiday season!
