If you are reading this, there's a good chance that you understand someone actually wrote this. As for this being specifically from The Odyssey at OWU you know that I am a student in college like you. So now that we've got that figured out, we all know that college is both the best and the worst. On one hand you get to hang out with all of your friends all the time, and on the other hand you have to do homework, so pros and cons.

So if you're like me, you like to have a very specific work space before you get going on any sort of homework, especially if it's going to take a while! So here's a list of ways to make a comfortable space for yourself to make sure you're productive.

1. Turn on the lights

I personally like to work in my room, but because it's a college room there are these terrible fluorescents, so my roommate and I have twinkle lights and we use those instead. It's not as hard on our eyes and it's prettier. So I understand that this sounds silly, but it's not -- it sets the mood.

2. Create a playlist

A good playlist is more important than anything else. How will you study without the perfect soundtrack to make sure that you're both productive, but also pumped?

3. Get food

You can't be hungry. You'll just be hangry (hungry+angry) and sad the whole time. Make sure that you get some good brain foods like fruit!

4. Make a list of your assignments

I personally rank mine first by when it's due, then which I think will take more work. So that way you can have something to look at and physically cross off.

5. Get all of your stuff together

You need to have your books and computer or how else will you do your homework?

6. Plug in your computer

If it dies you might lose everything! And honestly that would just make all of this terrible mess much worse.

7. Lay out all of your pens and highlighters

You know, so that everything is in your reach.

8. Clean your room

By now you've realized that your room is a mess and you need to clean it or it will drive you insane. That's okay, at least it's productive

9. Do you laundry

And now that your room is clean and all of your laundry is in your hamper, then it must be time to do laundry. That's productive too!

10. Check your email

You might have gotten one from your professor!

11. Check Facebook

Because by this point we both know that you're procrastinating and have been for a while now.

I am the worst procrastinator that there is, and these are my 11 different tips for productive procrastination -- at least you can feel good about it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
