During the Summer time when the weather gets hot, people like to go to the beach and sit out in the sun all day. One of the dangers of doing this is a sunburn. Sunburns can be very painful and are really bad for your skin. They can sometimes even lead to sun poisoning. Here's the eight struggles of having a sunburn.
1. When you get into the shower and you realize your whole body is on fire.
I never really know if I have a sunburn until I get into the shower. The pressure of the warm water hitting my skin feels like bee stings and an awful burning sensation.
2. When you consistently put sunscreen on your whole body except for this one small spot on your leg.
I did this at the beach last week. I was constantly putting on sunscreen on the main parts of my body except for this weird spot on the side of my thigh which got completely burned. So annoying.
3. When you go to a friend's house and they don't have aloe.
I should just start bringing aloe everywhere I go and keep it in a big ass jar.
4. Getting a sunburn on your shoulders and having to wear a bra.
This is probably the worst one on the list. So uncomfortable. So painful.
5. When someone slaps or grabs the part of your body that is sunburned.
Getting slapped on the back or someone pretending to give a massage. Just don't. Please.
6. Trying to sleep.
I honestly feel so bad for anyone that doesn't have an AC during the summer. I'm praying for you. The nights aren't even cool anymore; they're just less humid. Combine that with a sunburn and you'll be up all night.
7. Peeling.
Peeling is the absolute worst!! Especially if it's on a visible part of your body. The skin coming off is so gross. Make sure to moisturize everyday or else that skin is coming off.
8. Running out of aloe.
You might as well just give up and cry. Or beg someone to buy some for you.
9. When you wear sunglasses and get raccoon eyes.
10. When you can't go to the beach/ tanning again until your sunburn heals.
Sunburns can take up to a week to heal which means no more beach days until then.
11. When you promise yourself you won't get another sunburn even though you know that's not true.
You'll probably at least get one to two more. Have fun!
