Going to school in Indiana means getting used to people from Indiana, and, inevitably, the stereotypes that people associate with people from Indiana. It's not all bad, but there's something to smile at in each of them.
1. You've gotten used to your friends referencing where they're from by the name of their hometown rather than their state.
Hell, you've actually become familiar with where exactly Carmel, Indiana is located on a map.
2. The first time you heard of the game "cornhole" you were utterly confused and somewhat hesitant to participate.
But then you played and realized you were actually quite good.
3. Although you may have not initially agreed, you've finally came to accept that "soda" is actually referred to as "pop.
Whatever, I'll just go with it. Can I just please get some Coke?
4. Wherever you are in Indiana, you can count on a Super Walmart or Super Target to be right around the corner.
Every college student in Indiana shares this blessing.
5. Indiana's passion for country music has slowly but surely rubbed off on you.
Admit it, you sing along or nod your head when a Luke Bryan song starts playing.
6. You never thought corn mazes would be an Autumn festivity until you came to Indiana.
All your friends back at home are going to a haunted house while you're stranded in the middle of a cornfield.
7. When you first learned you are not allowed to purchase alcohol on Sundays, some part of you believed you time traveled back to the prohibition.
Nope, it's still 2016. You're just stuck in the most conservative state, better known as Indiana.
8. You've given up on dieting because not only do people in Indiana believe that cheese is a main food group, but they also think everything tastes better fried and then dipped in ranch.
So much for dreaming of getting a spring break body.
9. You easily adjusted to the friendliness of the good-hearted folks of Indiana.
Wow, this is what hospitality feels like?
10. You no longer find it strange that your friends from Indiana have tipped a cow in their spare time.
Just how I imagine spending my Friday night... right?
11. Regardless of the mile long stretches of corn fields, you still find peace and comfort in Indiana.
Because at the end of the day, it's home.
