Finals week. Death week. The terms are basically synonymous. If you are new to the college world (freshmen), you may be freaking out. Don't worry. The upperclass man are also freaking out...which, when I think about it, that's probably not very encouraging, is it? Well, still don't worry. I have a finals week guide that will get you through the semester and on to Christmas break.
1.) Be organized
Know what day each test is on. Know what time each test is at. Know where each test is going to be. Being organized helps eliminate the stress
2.) Study
The biggest help with all your test will be if you study. Study and be prepared. That's all I got to say.
3.) Eat a well-balanced meal
This one is kind of a joke. How are college students supposed to eat healthy if we have a limited bank account and the cafeteria?
4.) Get enough sleep
What college student actually thinks they get enough sleep on a daily basis? None that I know of. You'll get less during finals week. Luckily, it's only a week long. You can do it.
5.) Figure out what TV show to binge watch on Netflix over Christmas break
Get excited. Work for something. You can watch Netflix all winter break. This is your incentive to get through the week.
6.) Watch Netflix
One episode won't hurt your test grade too bad, will it? Oh, whoops. This is my sixth episode in a row. I'll study after this for real...Whoops. Eighth episode in a row. I'll study in the morning.
7.) Have a mental breakdown
You spent too much time watching Netflix and now you are freaking out about your test tomorrow. No worries, this is normal. Honestly, you should have a mental breakdown at least once a day during finals week. It really helps. I promise.
8.) Stress eat
What better way to deal with your stress than to eat it away? You also need all that energy from watching Netflix studying to keep you awake to watch more Netflix study.
9.) Watch more Netflix
Your mental breakdown has worn you out. You have no energy. Time to wind down for the night by watching more Netflix.
10.) Cry
It's the morning of your last final. It just so happens to be your hardest. It also, coincidentally, happens to be the one you studied for least. It's time to cope with the idea of an 'C' in the class. And by coping, I mean cry. Don't worry. C's get degrees.
11.) Celebrate. You did it.
You did it! Who cares about grades? You are on break!
