Everyone has made some type of plan throughout the span of their life. Some plans include getting that summer internship and/or building their college resume. Others simply include planning on going to the gym or not. Either way, we have all experienced the trial and error that is plan-making.
1. When you decide that you want something:
Yeah, you know what you want to do. Yeah, you are a person with goals. Yeah, you believe in yourself. Now get out there and make it happen.
2. When you realize the amount of effort that will be required of you to make that happen:
You suddenly become unsure if you really want to make that happen. Is it worth it? Are you sure you want to spend all that time and effort?
3. When you tell yourself all the things you are going to do to ensure that you make it happen:
Suddenly your faith in your abilities is restored. You are a go-getter and now that your plan is solid, nothing can stop you.
4. When you realize you are on step one, when you should be on step 23 of said plan:
Just when you thought everything was going so well, you realize that you are a bit behind schedule. What happened?
5. When you take a food detour:
You could always use pit stop for food. I mean... am I right?
6. When you decide to reevaluate your plan:
Surely these new steps will work because the ones you laid out before worked so well. Your plan just suffered a small hiccup, nothing more. You know what to do.
7. When you forget why you are even doing this in the first place:
What did I want to happen again? Was it this important to me? I have been going at this for so long I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel any longer.8. When you decide to give up:
Goodbye, plan that never helped me get anywhere. Hello, all my new found free-time.
9. When you reminisce about the glory days of your plan and what could have been:
You could have had everything you ever wanted (slow down, drama queen). You suddenly feel like a failure and a quitter, even though your plan was not working out. Why did you give up so early (really this is just sad nostalgia for something that was never going to happen)?
10. When everyone starts asking you about what happened to that goal you used to have:
"Oh, that old thing? I never really wanted that anyway."
11. When you finally decide to move on with your life:
Well at least you have decided to move on to bigger and better things (hopefully)... Until the process happens all over again.
