Back in my day (as in about 3 years ago), we were only able to send pictures to one another on Snapchat. That's right, there were no geotags or elaborate filters, just straight up pictures. Now, you can virtually create almost any image you want using Snapchat, all free of charge. All Snapchat users usually have a "snapping" reputation to upkeep, so thorough thought is put into deciding what snaps are worthy enough for your story. You're obviously not going to post a snap that you don't want people to see, but rather the opposite. Here are 11 snaps that we are all guilty of sending and posting.

1. The "bored at work" snap.

It may seem like you're just trying to show how bored you are, but in all actuality you want everyone to see that you have a job, or more importantly how much of a badass you are for snapping during work.

2. The pet snap.

Our pets are the only ones who don't say, "Wait! You can't post that! I wasn't ready! That filter doesn't look good on me!" Nope, they just sit there doing their thing while allowing you to snap away.

3. The vacation snap.

Don't lie, sometimes you really don't know where you are and you look to Snapchat geotags for assistance.

4. The "look what I'm doing" snap.

Your friends may be out partying, but you want to show all of your followers how sophisticated you are for frequenting museums or doing homework instead.

5. The "trying to get some laughs" snap.

One of the best feelings is posting something to your story, and finding out that your followers screenshot it to show all of their friends what a comedian you are (no, of course they're not making fun of you).

6. The Christmas Morning snap.

You're really not trying to come off as spoiled, but the tree just looks so pretty and you can't resist snapping it!

7. The "I'm such a 'foodie'" snap.

Tell the truth. You only ordered that fancy dessert to get a pic. It probably doesn't even taste good, but your followers don't need to know that!

8. The nice weather snap.

If only someone would invent a tool to help us tell the temperature so we wouldn't have to keep firing up Snapchat to find out...

9. The "introducing the elderly to filters" snap.

My heart melts watching everyone's grandparents discovering the beauty that are Snapchat filters, and watching them scream in delight, "Is that me?! How do you do that?!"

10. The subway snap.

"Ugh, I can't post it until we get to the next stop and have Wi-Fi!"

11. The coffee snap

Did you really have your daily coffee if you didn't let all of your followers know? Yes, but let them know anyways!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
