You're sick and tired of going to school everyday. You see the same people and the same things everyday. It seems as though that diploma you've been working ever so hard, is taking forever to actually reach. You started this long four year race, but it's like winning the gold, except it's taking an extra four years and you've gotten your trophy yet.
1. You get easily annoyed with anyone younger than you.
By now you're in your early to late 20s and you just hate anyone who is still a teenager, specifically freshman. You can't handle immaturity anymore.
2. You call your roommate more than your mom.
Even though you two live with one another and basically love each other, you call each other about 10 times a day and that's more than your mom will ever get in a month.
3. You start to accept that the food in the dining hall isn't going to get any better.
You know how college was supposed to have good food? Turns out they lied to you and the food is pretty shitty. But you've just accepted the fact that the food isn't going to get any better.
4. You find yourself staying in more on the weekends.
You're bed, sleeping in, and not socializing with anyone just seems so much more enjoyable. Netflix and chill is something that you have fully invested in and you're not even mad about it.
5. You're already comfortable calling your professors by their first names.
You went from saying Dr. Mengoni, Professor Mengoni, Mr. Mengoni, to Ernie or Ern Dog. Your professors become your mentors and lifelong friends. They help you out through thick and thin.
6. You've stopped going to certain bars because they're invaded by 18-year-old's.
You know that bar you use to go to all the time on Thirsty Thursday's with your friends? Yeah you can't do that anymore because an array of small children have populated the area.
7. The quote "College is the best four years of your life" is funny because it seems like it has been more like eight years.
They say college goes by quick, but has it really? It seems like it's been going at a snail mail pace at this point in your college career.
8. You know your campus like the back of your hand and will do anything to avoid other students trying to get you to join a club.
You already have your campus mentally routed out in your brain. But, once you find out that the French Club right by the Science Center wants new members, you avoid that area by all costs.
9. You know at least half the people at your school.
One good thing about being at school for so long is that you know so many people. You see so many familiar and comforting faces, but also uncomforting...
10. You've learned to avoid scheduling Monday and Friday classes.
Freshman year you were put in an 8 a.m. English class and it was hell. By now you've worked around the grapevine and you've magically plan out no classes on Monday's or Friday's. Can you say 4 day weekend?
11. The stress has become real when you realize you actually have to find a job and soon enough you will have actually graduated from college.
You have complained end on end about wanted to graduate and finding that dream job. But once you realize the semester is coming to an end and that you have to graduate, are you really ready to leave?
