I've lived in Kentucky my entire life. Now that I'm in college and have roommates from other parts of the country, as well as Kentucky, it is becoming apparent that there are certain signs that only people who grew up in Kentucky show. We've got a lot of things to be proud of, & here are a couple of them.
1. Your mom has baby pictures of you in a Kentucky Wildcats outfit.
2. You can find Ale-8 at your local grocery store.
3. You say what county you are from rather than a city, mostly because no one has ever heard of your city.
4. You understand the difference between the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville.
5. You love one of these men and you hate one of these men.
6. You don't freak out when you cross a bridge and you're in a different state.
7. You get chills when you hear My Old Kentucky Home.
8. Your level of hatred for Duke.
9. "Y'all" is an appropriate way to address a group of people.
10. People laugh at your accent on a daily basis.
11. "Holler" is the correct pronunciation of the word "hollow."
12. You often use your hand to show what part of the state you are from.
