I wake up in the morning, and I check my phone. I go brush my teeth, and then I check my phone. I go to class, and before it starts, I check my phone. Class ends, and I check my phone. The cycle goes on and on and on. And so much of the time I don’t really know (or forget) why I’m checking it. I need help. Are you in the same boat? Here are some warning signs:
1. You check your phone before you get out of bed in the morning.
2. You text in dangerous situations.
3. You’ve dropped your phone on your face.
4. You take a break from homework every few minutes to check your phone.
5. You check your social media even when you’re out to dinner.
6. You freak out if you lose (or even just forget) your phone.
7. You’ve run into a pole or a wall or anything else because you’re looking at your phone.
8. You see a post but you don’t like it yet because you’ll have more to look through when you go back on in a few minutes.
9. You only turn off your phone when you’re on a plane, and then only until you finally hear the "bing!" followed by the announcement you've been longing for.
10. But you rejoice when you turn it back on because you have so many notifications.
11. You use your phone in the bathroom. So common, yet so gross. There must be a problem.
