We all have the fear of getting a bad roommate. For most of us, our roommate situation turns out just fine, maybe they're a little messy or rude, but overall not too bad. For others though, their roommates are the worst of the worst.

Stories are as-is and are direct quotes from the tellers themselves. All tellers wish to stay anonymous.

* * *

1. "My roommate freshman year was a drug dealer who would have her friends over to do bars on our bathroom counter..."

2. "My roommate freshmen year was a spoiled brat and wouldn't do her dishes. Instead, she would just like them up in the sink and tell everyone they were mine (even though I keep mine in my room and clean them right after I use them). One day the sink was filled up to the faucet and smelled like rotting food and I needed to clean my dishes. I had asked her to clean her stuff for at least 5 days now, so I was pretty annoyed. So I took the dishes out of the sink and placed them on the floor so I could do mine. She later came back to the room and saw the dishes on the floor, stormed to my room and started yelling and banging on the door. She yelled 'don't f-ing touch my stuff.' You just need to go kill yourself because no one likes you. You need to burn in hell". I just promptly responded 'I'll see you there' and she stormed off. The housing people did nothing so we had to live together for the rest of the year. This was two weeks in."

3. "I've walked into the pre-game once that we always have in our shared dorm and her and one of the girls in her sorority were doing lines off of her MacBook while the other girl filmed herself for it to later be put on her finsta"

4. "When I was in the shower, my roommate turned off all the lights (it was only 8 pm) and set the thermostat down to 42"

5. "My roommate from freshmen year stayed good friends with my ex-bf after we broke up even though she was still friends with me. I didn't make a big deal about it even though it definitely bothered me because I didn't want to seem like that crazy ex who makes everything an ultimatum. I later found out from a mutual friend that she had hooked up with my ex, so I called to confront her and she told me she didn't regret it. Needless to say, they're both dead to me."

6. "My roommate freshman year would scatter used contacts lenses around the room..."

7. "My roommate would steal my anti-depressants and anxiety while I'm not at home because she thinks they'll give her a high and my other roommate also has a dog and will lock her in our living room all day/night just for her to bark nonstop (here's the kicker, she's my best friend)"

8. "My roommate bought each of my four roommates bins and said that our dirty dishes needed to be put in the bins instead of the sink. The bins were in the middle of the living room so you can imagine how great that looked."

9. "My roommate and her friends come in the room while I'm napping and talk about politics knowing damn well we don't agree"

10. "My roommate would use a blender at terrible hours during the day and multiple times during the day (6:00 a.m., 11 p.m., etc). Really not a big deal to hear once or twice a week, but when your sleep is disrupted every morning it really takes a toll on you."

11. "My roommate bought a knife and actually threatened to kill me multiple times. She was also on lots of drugs. The RA just made her leave after she contracted body lice (super contagious) and didn't feel the need to tell anyone..."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
