Makeup is complicated. Makeup is not easy to master sometimes. But the reason I love makeup is because it's fun. Deep down, having fun is what makeup is all about. For me, makeup is another medium in which I can express my creativity. Here are 11 things my fellow makeup lovers can probably relate to.

1. The feeling of sheer possibility walking into Sephora

2. Spending money you don't really need to be spending on more makeup

3. "You're so pretty without all that makeup!"

4. Getting your winged liner even on the first try once in a blue moon


5. "Who are you wearing all that makeup for?"

6. Hitting pan

7. Liquid lipstick: you either love it or you hate it

8. "I prefer girls who are natural"

9. Attempting a makeup tutorial look and having it turn out looking nothing like the original

10. "Just do your makeup at my house and we'll get ready together"

10. Doing all your friend's makeup for prom

11. That feeling when you just absolutely nail a look


Makeup is a fun way to express your originality and creativity. It always comes with pros and cons but when it comes to self-expression, you do you!
