I will fully admit it, I am a romantic and I'm obsessed with "romantic comedies" more fondly referred to as "rom-coms." Rom-coms have literally been around since Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" and can unite generations. Seriously, who doesn't love a good rom-com? They are always relatable and every girl has grown up loving these amazing stories. They have 100 percent ruined me with an unattainable perception of love at first sight and how relationships work, but they've been totally worth it. Unfortunately, the movie theaters today are flooded with SciFi films, vampires, gore, violence, and stupid jokes. I'm ready for some high quality romance up in this place for so many reasons so please help a girl out and give me some more rom-coms.
1. Because I'm sick of having to close my eyes during previews because of all the violence.
2. Because in the age of technology these pre-teens need to understand that Snapchatting can not constitute an entire relationship.
3. Because they take you on the greatest adventures.
4. Because I need more movies where I can get a good cry on.
5. Because I've watched all of the old ones on Netflix too many times.
6. Because every girl deserves their own (insert rom-com hunk here).
7. Because they're an amazing date night or girls' night out option.
8. Because my sister was too young to appreciate them and now she needs some current ones.
This is the only rom-com experience she has and while HSM is amazing, she needs a movie education.
9. Because the on-screen chemistry of both the couples and the friends gave us so much to look forward to as we grew up.
10. Because I'm still looking for my own Josh Duhamel.
