There are hundreds of reasons why we are simply enamored with this hidden gem of a town. To those who were home-grown here, who visit here, or want to know what we're all about: this is for you. (These are in no particular order; if they were, they'd all be number 1!)
1. We Have Two Trees.
Yeah, our landmark is a couple of old trees. But they're the best old trees around. Plus, the risk of getting caught hiking there is so worth the unbelievable views.
2. Cutest Downtown.
Basically the perfect area for a day's shop or a night out for anyone. Whether you're a movie-junkie, craving foods of all kinds, or want to sift around the local shops, Downtown's got it all for you.
3. San Buenaventura Mission.

4. The Beach. Duh.
Whether you're a 10-minute drive, 5-minute bike ride, or a swift walk out of your front door, the Ventura beaches are nothing but exceptional. These aren't your busy LA beaches; Ventura is all about a chill, laid-back day on the shore.
5. Ventura Pier.
The fun hotspot on the beach that's settled right off the boardwalk where Little Miss Sunshine's van arrival & pageant scene was shot!. Our poor pier got banged up from the wrath of "El Nino," but proudly showed it's renovation on April 30th, 2016. We love you, Pier!
6. 30 Minutes to Malibu or 30 Minutes to Santa Barbara, Uh Win-Win?
So if you're pretty Ventura-d out, why not take a drive down PCH to the beautiful Malibu beaches or do some shopping on SB's State Street? Hell, why not both on the same day?
7. Our Local Foods.

8. The Laid Back Community Vibe.
Ventura is a chill town with the coolest people. We aren't surprised to see people walking around in their tanks, bathing suits, and flip-flops. Like, totally dude.
9. Rain? That Watery Stuff That Comes Down Twice A Year?
Sure we get our sprinkles once in a while, and yes we may freak out just like the rest of SoCal, but you can't blame us...it's practically 70 degrees all year-round in Ventura!
10. Patagonia Headquarters.
We love our Patagonia gear as much as everyone else does...but we have a right to have so much pride for the company, it's based in Ventura!
11. The Cross.
Talk about God's beauty: This site offers an unbelievable view overlooking Ventura with the legendary wooden Cross. Prom pictures, wedding venues, picnic site, you name it. Hike to it through the Botanical Gardens, or take a quick drive up to catch the sunset.
12. The Fairgrounds.
Once a year, Ventura County preps for one of the highlights of summer: The Annual Ventura County Fair. For me, I'm all about the food; fried Oreos, spiral potatoes, fudge. And the rides and games. Ugh. Plus, the artists who play here are so worth the lines (Hunter Hayes!).
