Many of us know and love the characters of Full House like they are our own family. This popular sitcom did a reunion series that will knock your socks off with laughs and talent. Usually, when you hear there is going to be a spinoff of a series, your first thought may be that it will be nothing like the original. In this case, it is the perfect amount of "like the original" and the perfect amount of new original. This is a family that I still want to see and a show I still can't stop watching.
1. C'mon now... “Cut. It. Out.”
The token phrases from the original series still work and this cast is not afraid to use them (“Oh Mylanta,” "Have mercy," "How rude," "You're in Big Trouble, Mr." etc.)
2. Same cast, but all grown up! (and still lovable)
Seriously, just the sheer fact that they got almost all of the characters back together is impressive.
3. No Michelle? "How Rude!"
Although it kind of stinks that MK&A didn't make an appearance, there are some hilarious references to missing character, Michelle, played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. (“You got it, dude!”)
4. Fantastic guest appearances…
by Val & Maks Chmerkovskiy, Macy Gray, Hunter Pence, and Michael Sun Lee: Harry Takayama (Steph's childhood husband)
5. Oh, the life lessons…and the hugging!
Danny Tanner instilled some very valuable lessons in us all. It feels good to see the Tanners hug it out again.
6. One word: Max!
...and he is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! The creators still have a great talent for picking lovable stars for this show.
7. Speaking of TALENT… They've still got it!
Have you seen the dance moves on this show? Check out this clip if you need convincing. Let's not forget the many talented voices either. Every member of the regular cast gets in on this, guys. It's kind of impressive.
8. “Have Mercy!” Donna Jo + Steve= UM, YES PLEASE!!
You can't help but root for these high school sweethearts.
9. The setting is almost exactly the same, just improved.
Same house, same couch...
10. Modern, trendy, and progressive, but also 90’s nostalgic.
Throwbacks are the best!
11. Go, DJ! She is the ultimate single mom/big sister/best friend. You will fall instantly in love with grown-up "Deej."
The title “Fuller House” alludes quite simply to a fuller house, however, the last name D.J. took when she married was Fuller! Nice play on words there.
