Since I have been at college and have found my home in my sorority, I have realized that everything is better when you are with your sisters. No matter what you are doing, as long as you have one of your sisters with you, it is 100 times better. Here are 11 reasons why that is so true!
1. They will make you laugh.
I know that whenever we are going on sisterhood trips or just hanging out, there is always something to laugh about. Whether someone fails epically at something or just trips over something non-existent, you will always end up laughing.
2. They will be there to sing at the top of your lungs with you.
From our recent trip to Charleston, I realized that when you blast some throwback music in your car, everyone will be yelling the lyrics.
3. They will constantly reassure you that everything will be OK.
If you are getting a new piercing, or just having a bad day, your sisters will brighten your spirits by assuring you that everything will be just fine.
4. They will do random things with you
Say you wanted to give to do something way out of your comfort zone or just something crazy, at least one person will volunteer to do it with you. For example, two sisters recently participated in RMHC Over the Edge event and had so much fun because they got to do it together.
5. They will be there to room with you
If you are going on vacation together or just moving into an apartment, you can find roomies for life. Right now, I am planning to move out of our dorm rooms and into an apartment or house with my absolute best friend from my sorority.
6. They will be there to cry at sappy movies with
Everyone—well, every chick—loves a good sappy movie especially when you can cry over it with your sisters.
7. They are there whenever you want to go stuff your face
As many people now, sororities love their food, especially mine. We are constantly going to eat with one another for lunch or dinner or sometimes breakfast when we get up early enough
8. No matter what, they are there to help you if they can
If you need help with homework or just help in general, some sisters will just drop what they are doing and come help you.
9. They are there to craft with you
We love to craft, and it's great when you get a group of sisters together to craft with you
10. They are there to make new memories with
We all experience going to new places and seeing new things in college, but it's great when you have sisters there with you to experience it with.
11. They are your sisters for life
When joining a sorority, you get to call this new group of girls your sisters. That doesn't just mean for a day, that means for life. Treasure and cherish them as long as you are with them and know that they will always be a part of your life.
