For years, dogs have been man's best friends, but in recent years, cats have seemingly been taking over. They are everywhere. Whether it is on TV commercials or all over the internet, cats are everywhere. They are lovable creatures with lots to offer.

1. They are Soft

Their fur is super soft. Petting them is one of the little joys for a sat owner. Even when it gets all over you and your things, you can't help but love them.

2. They like to Cuddle

Once you get to know them a little bit better, they will start to cuddle with you — in their own way of course. Some cats just like to be next to you while others want you to pet them constantly. It's really just about getting to know the cat and go from there.

3. Their Meows are Adorable

Every time they meow, your heart will melt. Over time, you get to understand them, and it gets even more cute. Once you reach this stage, it will seem like you can hold a conversation with them.

4. They have attitude

In a good way though! Cats have a sort of vibe they give off that anyone can appreciate. The way they walk shows it all.

5. They are super curious

No matter how old they are, cats will get into things that they probably should not. Be on your toes, because you never know when they will make their way into closed spaces or even in messy places.

6. They are great caretakers

Whenever you are sick, they will be right there comforting you. They will sit on your lap or by your side all day long. They are definitely the best little nurses.

7. They take awesome pictures

I don't think there is a cat in the world who can take a bad picture. No matter what they are doing, their poses and expressions will make great for pictures.

8. They know how to make you smile

As you get to know them, they get to know you. Whenever you are feeling down, they will know what to do. Whether it's running around the house like a little maniac or playing with their favorite toys, they know what makes you smile, and they will do all that they can to cheer you up.

9. They are less work than dogs

Of course cats require a bit of work, but it is no where near the amount needed for dogs. You will not have to worry about getting up to take them out or have to take them on walks every day. They are less work, which means you can appreciate them all the more.

10. They like to help

Cats will be with you every step of the way. No matter what you do, they will be right there helping you.

11. They are great entertainers

Cats do so much, and they are constantly the life of the party. They do what they do and will make you truly appreciate the awesomeness of cats.
