You step into your dorm room after a long day. The first sight that greets you is a hamper overflowing with dirty laundry. You groan and consider banging your head against the wall. “I really need to do laundry,” you grumble to yourself. But it’s okay. You really don’t. Here are 11 reasons not to do your laundry.
1. There’s homework and studying to do.
Hello, midterm season.
2. There’s sleep to catch up on.
You don’t get nearly enough of it as it is.
3. You really need to go work out.
It’s too early in the year to be giving up on New Year's resolutions. Besides, health is important!
4. You have a coffee date with your friend.
Friendship is an important investment.
5. TGIT (Thank God It's Thursday) is back on ABC.
And it’s imperative you’re up to speed on How to Get Away with Murder before someone spoils it for you.
6. It’s a Monday.
Mondays are for hating that you have a long week ahead.
7. It’s a Friday.
Fridays are for celebrating that you’re still alive after a long week.
8. You can just buy more underwear.
Clean underwear is usually the limiting factor, right?
9. You have to go out and won’t be back in time to take your clothes out of the washer/dryer.
You don’t want to be that selfish person who hogs up all the machines.
10. You’ve accumulated so many dirty clothes it will take five cycles to wash them all.
You just don’t have the energy and patience for that nonsense.
11. You’re about to go home for break anyway.
There’s a better, energy-efficient washer and dryer at home (not to mention your mom who might take pity on you and do your laundry).
Thanks, Mom!
