As girls, we all have them. The boys that we have grown to love so much, but in a completely unique way. These guys are our rocks and we never know where we would be without them, and we never want to imagine that. These are the guys that have our backs when things in life get tough or the guys who we automatically go to when we want to have a good time. There is no romantic connection, but there is endless love and care between you and it is one of the greatest feelings in the world. These are our one-in-a-million guy best friends.
1. You never have to worry about protecting yourself.
I know if any of my male friends ever found out somebody hurt me, the person that hurt me would be “taken care of.”
2. When you need someone to go get food with at all hours, you can always count on your boys.
Because what guy does not like getting food at 2 a.m.?
3. When you need to find out if the guy you are seeing has good intentions, you can always count on the guys for their honest opinions.
Even if the opinion is one you do not want to hear, he is usually right.
4. They are always there to give you hugs whenever you need them (and they are the best).
I know if I were with one of my guy friends and just wanted a hug, all I would have to do is open my arms and one of them would be right there.
5. When you want to go shoot a game of pool, they will be there.
The boys love shooting pool and just being in the bar atmosphere so even though they will probably slaughter you in a game of pool, they will be there.
6. When a guy breaks your heart, you can always count on your boys to be there to pick you up.
Whether it is just sitting with you and talking or taking you out to do something to get your mind off it, you can always count on the guys to cheer you up and remind you why you are so much better off without the guy who broke your heart.

7. You do not have to look pretty when you are around them.
You may not feel like putting make-up on every day, but it does not matter because you do not care if you look like a mess in front of these guys. They love you no matter how good/bad you look.
8. When you need some good advice, a lot of them are willing to listen and try to help.
Maybe they do not always know what to say or maybe it is not a piece of advice you would take, but they will always try if it means you might feel better
9. When you are having a bad day, you can always count on them to make you smile or do something nice to make you feel better.
Even if they just make a stupid joke or something to get a smile on your face, we still love them for the effort (and the stupid joke usually works).
10. No matter what, you can always count on them to be real.
Whether it’s something you want to hear or not, well that’s always debatable, but they have no filter so they will tell you exactly how it is.
11. At the end of the day, nobody will love you like they do.
Whether they are picking on you relentlessly or just hugging you because they know you need it, nobody will ever love you like your guys. It’s that awkward mix between love like a brother and love like a friend, but it’s the best mix in the world.
