11 Reasons To Be Excited About Thanksgiving Break

11 Reasons To Be Excited About Thanksgiving Break

Not only are you excited for Thanksgiving Break but I surely am. It's finally time to go home and see people that you have known from the beginning of time, eat wonderful food, and relax.

#1 - Having your own room again.

That's right no roommate, no more having a division between the room. It's all yours. Sorry if you have to share with a sibling though.

#2 - Real food.

That's right no more crappy dining hall food. Not only do you get a couple home cooked meals but you also get THANKSGIVING FOOD.

#3 - Old Friends.

That's right, your good old friends who you had to separate with for college. Yes, it sucks but now you can spill all the drama and gossip while cuddling up together (it beats FaceTime one-hundred percent).

#4 - Being back with your Mom.

Yes, as much as we all don't want to admit it we have missed our annoying mom's dearly. Whether it was her yelling at you to clean your room or nagging you about going out - you missed her.

#5 - Showering in your own shower.

That's right, no more shower shoes! It's time for your bare feet to touch the tile again and for you to sing your little heart out in the shower once again.

#6 - Getting away from the people you've been surrounded with for the past two months straight.

Yes, you will miss your college friends but you have had enough of them. No one wants to admit it but it's true. You couldn't be more glad to get away from them for a week or so.

#7 - Seeing your family.

It's Thanksgiving Break aka time for family and annoying one at most. Yes, you will get the questions "Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?", "How's your GPA?", "Did you gain weight?", "What's your major again?", and many many more questions but be grateful to have them there - you'll miss it.

#8 - Getting food from your favorite hometown restaurant/deli.

It'll taste brand new all over again.

#9 - Your bed.

No more small bed in your dorm room. You'll have your own bed once again and it'll be the best feeling ever to just plop down on top of it.

#10 - Having a break from an insane work load.

That's right - no work over break. Unless your professor is actually insane. 

#11 - Reuniting with your best friend - your animal at home.

I saved the best for last I'm pretty sure.
