I'll be the first to tell you that I have a serious addiction to Chipotle Mexican Grill. Some may see this as a bad thing, but I am very easy to buy for. I can always spot the "newbies" as they are figuring out what to pile on their bowl or by looking at their eyes widen by the size of the burrito. I remember my first visit to Chipotle, and each time I remember why I am so in love with the food. To my fellow addicts, here are 11 things that only we can relate to:
1. Knowing the Line
There is no doubt there will be a line once inside those lovely doors (unless you're really lucky). However, a Chipotle addict can tell you the approximate time of wait. We know how long it takes to get to that register, don't doubt us.
2. Knowing the Staff
Chipotle addicts know the people that load it up and the people that make your burrito look like a taco (no bueno). We usually know the people by name and catch up with them about the last week.
3. The Feeling of Getting Fresh Meat
The feeling in your heart (and stomach) when a new metal bunch of steak is making its way into the warmer just in time to get into your bowl or burrito is unreal. An addict often finds themselves saying, "I got fresh steak today" or "my chicken was so juicy".
4. Ability to Order Online
When Chipotle addicts are in a crunch for time, we don't go get fast food like a newbie would do...we do the smart thing and order online. By placing an online order, you can skip the line and still enjoy your favorite meal.
5. Being Petty Towards the Haters
"I don't really like Chipotle"....COOL!!!!! No one cares!
6. Knowing the Freebies
Free Chipotle is the best Chipotle. Only addicts look for the online rewards and the possible coupons coming up because the more money in the bank, the more Chipotle in the future. YAS.
7. Chipotle Texts
Every Chipotle addict has Chipotle's number saved in their phone to get quick notice on new deals. Another way to save money and give support to our favorite place.
8. Always Having an Answer to "Where Should We Eat?"
Chipotle addicts ALWAYS decide Chipotle when they can pick where to eat. It is simply a no brainer.
9. Getting Annoyed with First Timers
'What should I get? What is good? Is that like a taco salad?" It really is not the hard, here...let the professional go first and show you how it is done!
10. Knowing Guac Always Costs Extra
Yes, I know guac costs extra...I am a Chipotle addict. Slap it on there.
11. Chipotle Actually Being your Life
Any Chipotle addict would agree that Chipotle actually brings us life.
