Ah, the season of summer movies is over. It was fun watching all the anticipated films and those "must sees". Luckily, were not in the barren period of uninteresting movies just yet! Fall and winter is the time where Golden Globe and Oscar nominated movies come out. This means that the drama, romance, and biography categories are going to be stellar (not to mention the musical scores). Also, holiday movies are a big thing at this time as well, which are my favorite because I can snuggle up in a warm sweater and cry my eyes out when the plot is a happy ending. Below are 11 movies you must see (sorted by genre) that are coming out in September, 2016.

1. "Morgan" (September 2nd)

"Morgan" is a thriller coming out the first week of September. It contains a science fiction based theme and revolves around a lot of laboratory and research topics. The premise of the film is that the creation of scientists in a disclosed location has powerful abilities, including extreme growth in one month. After the specimen, named Morgan, resorts to violence after an interview gone wrong, a high official must decide if the creation is to be eliminated. Cast includes: Kate Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Paul Giamatti).

2. "When the Bough Breaks" (September 9th)

Another thriller, folks! The idea of this movie is so juicy and I was on my seat just watching the trailer. A couple, played by Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall, have always wanted a baby but due to complications, they could never conceive. They then find a perfect surrogate who turns out to be psychologically unfit. Soon, the two are thrown into a whirlwind of danger and fear as they fight to save their unborn baby. Great movie to see with a friend, family member, or even spouse (could this make you fear your future?).

3. "Brother Nature" (September 9th)

"Brother Nature" is a limited theater comedy that is jam packed with actors from "SNL". Though it will only be shown at certain theaters across the country, it has great content and jokes. At a lake house for vacation, Roger (Taran Killam) has difficulty getting along with his girlfriend's brother. He finds it hard to get on the good side of his potential fiancee's family while Todd (Bobby Moynihan) is in the picture.

4. "The Light Between Oceans" (September 2nd)

Yay, a drama romance film! "The Light Between Oceans" is about a lighthouse keeper (Michael Fassbender) and his wife (Alicia Vikander) who find a baby girl wash up on shore. Delighted to have another member in the family, the life of the couple is no longer as drear as it used to be. But after meeting a woman in town, their happiness and daughter might be taken away from them.

5. "Sully" (September 9th)

I remember the day an airplane landed on the Hudson and it was pretty shocking. But, as time went on, the hubbub about it disappeared, as most news does. The movie "Sully", however shows what happened behind the scenes of that day and how it was more than just a forced water landing. Though seen as a hero by most Americans, reporters and critics plagued Chesley Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) with negativity and outrage.

6. "Snowden" (September 16th)

Another biography! Edward Snowden is one of the most notorious hackers and leakers in United States history, along with Julian Assange of WikiLeaks. Though most know of his actions, his back story and reasoning are virtually unknown. "Snowden" is full of many famous actors/actresses, such as: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Zachary Quinto, Timothy Olyphant, Nicolas Cage, and Scott Eastwood.

7. "Bridget Jones's Baby" (September 16th)

A sequel! The new fad for movie making is revamping films from 10 or more years ago and giving them (an unneeded?) sequel. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) decides to only focus on her job and friends. However, after meeting a new man (Patrick Dempsey), she starts to realize that maybe she needs another try at love. A surprise pregnancy makes her life more difficult when she doesn't know who the father is.

8. "Blair Witch" (September 16th)

Another sequel! Like I said, it's the new craze. Horror movie sequels and trilogies always do their job (for example: "Sinister", "The Conjuring"). Hopefully "Blair Witch" can be just as good as it's predecessor in its short 89 minute run time. College students explore the same forest that many were lost in decades prior, which could be due to the Blair Witch legend. When certain paranormal activity (horror movie pun, haha) begins to rise in the area, the students begin to reevaluate their skepticism.

9. "The Magnificent Seven" (September 23rd)

Not a sequel, but a remake! Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, and several other talented actors are the new faces of "The Magnificent Seven". After an industrialist initiative takes over the western town of Rose Krick, citizens ask for seven known fugitives (that are very qualified). Soon after agreeing to help the residents, the men begin to see that there is more that meets the eye. If you're a Western movie fanatic, this is a must see!

10. "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" (September 30th)

Based on the book by Ransom Riggs, "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" is an action, fantasy film. The movie touches base on the uniqueness of all human beings and how to embrace the attribute of being different. After Jake's (Asa Butterfield) grandfather dies, he visits the wondrous land that he heard of in his childhood. When he finally arrives, Jake's idea of a short stay changes when he is made the guardian of the remarkable children and has to protect them from evil.

11. "Storks" (September 23rd)

When the ability of bringing babies to families is no longer needed, storks are used to deliver packages. However, when Junior (Andy Samberg) accidentally makes a baby with an ancient, unused machine, he must bring her to where she belongs before his boss finds out! Throughout his journey, the true job of a stork is revealed and could possibly change his species' duties for the better.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
