We all have parents that drive us nuts, tell embarrassing stories in front of our friends, and act like crazy people in public. Finding a place to hide can seem like a real challenge in these moments.
1. Trying to use the language of the "cool kids"
“That’s so fetch”…no, mom, no.
2. Wearing her clothes from the 70s
I can not claim her as my own in that outfit. Please get me out of here asap.
3. Throwing it back to the childhood memories
“She had the cutest tooshie ever. Here I'll go get the photo album.” NO, my bowl cut and my butt is for absolutely no one to see. Someone could go blind looking at that.
4. Watch out there’s a car there
She goes to grab your hand when you cross the street because apparently you can’t handle the streets on your own.
5. Honey you haven’t shaved your legs in days. You should get on that.
Mom, none of my friends need to know my hygiene routines. Please stop.
6. The Shimmy and shake is still a thing
No, mom, it is not and no one needs to see any of that shake.
7. LOL, *emoji* *emoji* *emoji*
Do you even know what all those emojis are? What is the purpose of trying to use as many emojis as possible? One will suffice or if you are really feeling crazy, three is enough.
8. Ohhh that boy is cute go talk to him
Ma, trying to set me up with every boy you see clearly isn’t working. Single status at an all time high.
9. So the birds and the bees
We’ve had this talk already, can we please skip it? I don’t want to hear about you and Steve and your back seat ever ever again.
10. Shares your profile pictures on Facebook
No ma, don’t share every photo I post. And it’s always accompanied by an embarrassing comment lke, “Isn’t my princess perfect?” Living under a rock right then and there sounds fantastic.
11. I told your aunt about that butt rash you had.
Why mom why. No one needs to know about my butt rash. What’s even worse is when you get texts from your moms friends telling your how to cure your butt rash…uhhhh.
Even though mothers can be super embarrassing, we still love them. Plus their home cooked meals always make up for their embarrassment..most of the times.
