"Goals". We hear it all the time and we say it all the time. We have a "goals" category for everything. However, I have yet to see an article referring to Catholic relationship goals. And like many other friends of mine, that's a common category in our lives that we take pride in and possibly even envision (if we are still single). So I took it upon myself to list a couple Catholic relationship goals:

1. Treating every Sunday morning mass like an event.

Getting dressed in your Sunday best, and then spending the whole day just talking about the Lord over a yummy brunch.

2. Praying decades for each other.

Ten Hail Mary's never hurt no one.

3. Praying the rosary with each other.

I don't know what it is, but something about praying the rosary with your significant other seems so humbling and intimate to me.

4. Going to Adoration together.

And going to Adoration together seems even more humbling, intimate, and peaceful.

5. Digging deep into the Catechism together.

Okay yeah, so learning about each other is fun. But how about learning about the faith you have in common and the faith that grounds your life and relationship?

6. Giving up something for Lent that will only strengthen your relationship.

This sounded super fun to me, but I have yet to think of a good example as I have never been in a Catholic relationship during Lent. So if you think of one, let a girl know and comment below!

7. Keeping each other accountable on Holy Days of Obligation.

Your parents were always the ones that dragged you to church on a Holy Day of Obligation...who better to do it now than your significant other. Hold each other accountable. That's part of a healthy relationship.

8. Visiting Rome and going to mass at the Vatican.

Okay so this one is probably a stretch...and requires a good deal of money...but how romantic would and breathtaking would it be to receive the Eucharist in St. Peters Basilica in Rome...with your significant other??

9. Visiting all of the biblical places in Rome and Israel with each other.

This one also requires a lot of money...BUT maybe don't spend money on expensive dates and gifts for a little while and save up to experience the places in the bible that we read and know about, (like the Mount of the Beatitudes).

10. Long conversations about all the mysteries of the faith.

Long conversations about anything are always fun with your significant other but imagine spending hours under the starry sky talking about the Man who created it all.

11. Lowkey aspiring to be saints - therefore constantly encouraging the other to live as Christ does.

Not sure if I'm alone on this point or not, but in the back of my mind, I've always thought that being a saint would be the coolest, biggest accomplishment ever. Therefore it drives the way I live and act. Sharing that same mindset with your significant other would be so cool.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
