"When you feel sad, dance."

11 Breakup Songs
Polyvore

Breakups are hard, whether they be with a friend or a romantic partner. When someone close to you leaves your life it feels like he or she took a part of you with them. It's easy to just curl up in your bed, play some sad songs and cry all day. This playlist will help you get back up on your feet and start feeling like you again. So jam out! Dance, sing and remind yourself that you don't need that person to be happy.

1. "You're Such A" by Hailee Steinfeild

Your breakup is going to be so much harder to get over if you keep viewing the person as perfect in every way, shape and form. This song will definitely help you out with that! Besides, how sweet can this person be if they can make you feel this bad?

2. "Ugly Heart" by G.R.L.

This song will also help you stop viewing that person as perfect. The reason I like it so much is because of the beat — fun and easy to dance to!

3. "Love Myself" by Hailee Steinfeld

My girl Hailee Steinfeld really knows how to make the best breakup songs. This song has an upbeat tempo and is all about the most important thing you can do while going through a breakup — love yourself.

4. "Problem" by Ariana Grande

Whether you love Ariana Grande or hate her, you have to admit that this is a good song. And she's right! At the end of the day, that person was just one more problem you had to deal with, and now you don't have to.

5. "Ridin' Solo" by Jason Derulo

"It's an oldie, but a goodie!" Staring over can be scary but it can also be exciting. Put on an outfit that makes you feel good and do your hair and makeup — even if you're just going to the grocery store.

6. "Confident" by Demi Lovato

When an important person leaves your life it can be hard to get back to that stage of loving yourself and feeling good about who you are. Sometimes just saying that you are confident and happy with who you are will help you start believing it. Dancing and singing along to this song will get you started on that path.

7. "Survivor" by Destiny's Child

Another oldie! But how can you go wrong with Destiny's Child? No matter how awful you feel right now, know that you will get through this. You are a survivor!

8. "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyoncé

Beyoncé is queen and whatever she says must be true, right? But seriously, you don't need that person to accomplish great things. You can do whatever you set your mind to — even run the world.

9. "So What" by P!nk

Pretending you don't care about the breakup for three minutes while you jam out to this song feels amazing, take it from me. Besides, P!nk has a point: you were a rockstar with that person in your life and you're still a rockstar without them.

10. "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift

A breakup playlist is never really complete until you throw a Taylor Swift song in there. Besides, this one is super fun to dance to and sing along with.

11. "Bye Bye Bye" by *NSYNC

*NSYNC, the true baes, say it best: "Bye, bye, bye!" That person was clearly not making you happy anymore so it was time for them to head on out the door.

Breakups are hard, but they are not forever. You will find new friends or a new romantic interest. Until then, hopefully these songs will help get you moving and feeling like yourself again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
