I know that breakups are hard and it's just a part of life. These movies are a must to watch as you're eating your pint of ice cream surrounded by used tissues.
1. The Notebook
I know this is a very sad movie about romance, but you have to get that first cry out. You may be holding back the emotions, but it's better to breakdown now than later.
2. Legally Blonde
This may not seem like a a breakup movie, but remember the whole reason Elle even went to law school was for a guy. She soon realizes that she doesn't need a guy to be successful, and neither do you!
3. Bride Wars
Just because you have a plan for how your life is going to go, doesn't mean it will always happen that way. You don't have to stop being yourself to please your significant other. You are not in a relationship just to please anyone but yourself.
4. The Other Woman
This is one of my all time favorite movies. This movie shows that even after being in a relationship for years, you can still find yourself. This movie also shows that friends are there for you no matter what guy comes along.
5. Sex In The City
I love this show and the movies. I put this one on the list because these four women have had their fair share of men, but this hasn't stopped them from living for themselves. They see all the relationships as a life lesson and they manage to grow from it.
6. Forgetting Sarah Marshall

You can have a good laugh while watching this movie. It also shows that there is always someone better that comes along.
7. How To Be Single
Not my favorite movie, but I love how they emphasize that "breaks" are not a thing. It also shows that it's OK to want love, but you also need to know who you are as a person by growing by yourself.
8. Diary Of A Mad Black Woman
I know Madea is hilarious but the whole plot was Helen being overpowered by her husband and his money. Don't let anyone hold power over you; you are your own person.
9. The Devil Wears Prada
This one made the list because Andy had to make a choice for herself when it came to her job or her boyfriend. Her boyfriend was not supportive of her dreams and her changing as a person. Sometimes we have to choose ourselves over others and that's OK.
10. The First Wives Club
This is to remind you that sometimes it is okay not to be the bigger person.
11. John Tucker Must Die
We have all had a love-hate relationship with John Tucker. We will continue to for his charm and good looks. This shows that even though you want to get revenge on your ex, it doesn't make you any better than him. Just hold your head up high and show him what he's missing out on.
