With finals coming up, stress levels are at an all-time high and you’re questioning your sanity more and more. Take a breath and give it all to God. It's so easy to let the little things build up until they become big, or when the big things come and you feel like you’ve completely lost all hope, you haven’t. You’re a fighter, and with every passing day, you get stronger, but don’t carry the world on your shoulders; allow God to carry you on his.
1. “Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:6
Although we go through our routines of everyday life, we may hit a bump in the road, or even question the road we’re taking. That’s when God steps in to guide us. Look to him for your path, and you’ll find in the end, He knew where you needed to be way before you even realized where you were to start with.
2. “Having hope will give you courage.” Job 18:11
Courage is something we all need a little more of, and it’s the truly courageous people that make the biggest differences in the world. Be hopeful in all that you do and allow God to place you where you need to be, in all situations in life.
3. “The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
We don’t always think to calm ourselves when fighting our battles; we are constantly trying to win. If we allow ourselves to slow down and give it all to God, we will find our battles easily fought with the hand of our Lord.
4. "But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you.” Matthew5:4
This verse says so much, and with all of the anger and hurt in the world, it is easy to allow ourselves to be consumed with hatred. God says to pray for those that hurt you. Show kindness in all aspects, and even though it is beyond hard to allow yourself to let go of feelings of bitterness and anger, letting those negative feelings go will bring more light to your life.
5. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let your heart not be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27
God will provide you with the peace you need if you allow him into your heart. His love is unlike anything in this world, and your burdens are nothing compared to the hope you will find in Him.
6.“When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Psalm 61:2
Allow God to bring you to higher places in times of need; allow him to work through you, to bring those you love higher. Allow God into your life and you will find peace and happiness.
7. “Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world.” Romans 12:2
When society tells you how to feel, look, or act, just know in your heart that only God can truly judge you. If you are living through Him, then you should never look to anyone else for approval. God made you as you are for a reason, so trust in Him.
8. “Come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
If life has you down, allow him to pick up your burdens and trust in His plan.
9. “Be joyful in hope, endure in affliction and persevere in prayer.” Romans 12:12
Pray every day, for the weak, the strong, your loved ones, and those you don’t know; give God the worries of the world, for He created it and knows which direction it is headed.
10. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your God works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
Be a light, be kind, and be faithful. All that you are going through is in God’s will and you are not meant to understand God’s intention for your life. Be someone that others look to, be someone that others can see God working through, be all that you can every day.
11. "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
