Everybody has had that moment in class when their mind starts wandering, they stop listening and lose focus. It's history after that; you're gone! Here are some thoughts you may have day dreamed or some you will have after reading this list.
1. What time is it?
Sometimes, you have classes where the second you sit down, you immediately start wondering, "How long have I been here? Is it time to leave yet?"
2. I'm so hungry.
Here it comes: The whale song of my people is about to go down in the middle of reading silently in class.
3. I wonder what's for lunch.
I'm so hungry, I wonder what's for lunch, or what I should buy. Decisions, decisions!
4. Will they ever stop talking? They won't shut up.
We all have that class where the professor does not stop talking. Also, half of the time, it doesn't even consist of class material.
5. Why aren't they talking? It's too quiet.
Again, except this time, the whole class has come to an awkward silence, and the professor won't break it.
6. I'm so tired.
Yes, we all have this class. The teacher starts rambling or playing some boring clip, and your eyes start to droop. Before you know it, you're jerking awake every five minutes, and your professor is dead-eyeing you.
7. I could really be working on so-and-so's homework, I should have skipped.
Everyone has that class where they work on another professor's homework, or skip a class to do homework for another class. The best is when you actually just fall asleep and complete nothing.
8. Is my hair okay? Is there something on my face?
Great, they're looking at me weirdly. There must be something on my face or something wrong with my hair. Why can't I just have pretty hair like that girl?
9. I should be taking notes.![]()
I start to glance around the room and zap; I realize this information is kind of important and I should be taking notes. Oh well. They will post the PowerPoint on iLearn, or I can always borrow the notes.
10. Ugh, my leg is going to sleep.![]()
You have to love it when your leg starts going numb. As you start to move around uncomfortably for relief, you end up making yourself look a tad ridiculous.
11. I give up, I'm dropping out.
It's the last five minutes of class. Everyone has papers full of notes. They are concentrated on being done. You realize you have spent the whole class in la-la land, day dreaming about a million things. You decide it is in your best interest to just drop out.
Odds are you related to the majority of these random thoughts. If not, you have just not reached that point of the school year/semester where everything drags on and on, and you're ready to be done with it all.
