High school. Those words bring a nervous sweat or make your heart race when you hear them. High school was never my cup of tea, but there are totally things you can get really good at things that just never change. High school is weird and awkward, but for some people it's the time of their lives. Others, they just wanna get out. Regardless of where you stand, you've got four years to make the most of it, so here's 101 tips on how to own high school.

1) Make some awesome friends.

2) Don't cry over boys.

3) Do anything and everything that interests you.

4) Enjoy the corny pep rallies.

5) Be nice to everyone.

6) Smile.

7) Be willing to work with other people.

8) Keep an open mind.

9) Join a club or sports team.

10) Invite people in.

11) Don't jump to conclusions.

12) Talk it out.

13) Don't beleive everything you see on social media.

14) Jealousy isn't worth it.

15) Be willing to learn.

16) Math is hard and it always will be.

17) Challenge yourself!

18) Get outside your comfort zone.

19) Don't talk behind people's backs.

20) If there's a problem, go straight to the source.

21) Take a day to yourself once in a while.

22) Your time is precious, don't waste it.

23) Don't think you're gonna marry the boy you date in high school.

95) Consider other people and their well being when making choices.

96) Don't make stupid decisions.

97) Not caring isn't cool.

99) If you think it isn't right, don't do it.

100) You're gonna change, but it's gonna be okay.

101) Nothing is really as big of a deal as it seems it is.

High school isn't easy, but knowing these things, your high school experience can be so much more enjoyable and either way, you're still gonna kill it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
