10 Years of Hannah Montana

Thursday, March 24, 2016 may be a day to go down in history. The date marked 10 years since the first ever Hannah Montana episode appeared on Disney Channel. The show captured the hearts of millions of young girls who are now entering adulthood. Not much has been said about the series since it last aired on January 16, 2011. But when the 10 year anniversary came up, it was like 2006 all over again. As Miley Cyrus has certainly moved on with her life and completely altered her reputation the rebellious 23-year-old took to social media to reminisce in her teenage hers.

She posted this on Instagram:

She captioned her image, "@realdukeofearles understands the insanity of it all..... Sending love to all my cast members on this anniversary .... To the world, it's a celebration of 10 years but for us, the journey began way before the world had any clue who the fuck any of us is ..... There was a very long auditioning process, and many chemistry reads which really is what sold the show to the producers and channel because no matter what went on over the years (which none of you have any clue about but it was like the real world but more hormonal teenagers) our love for each other was unquestionable.... Even though I feel disconnected to who I was at that time I will always feel eternally grateful for the opportunity and platform I was given .... None of it would have been possible without every single person who ever contributed to the series .... From regulars to special guests (and there were many magical ones @dollyparton 💞) to creators, crew, directors..... I am where I am because of loyal fans that I am thankful for and of course love dearly all the new angels who support me now..... Even though HM is chopped up into little tiny pieces and buried in my backyard she will always hold a very special place in my heart! Celebrate this day with us! Get real drunk and remember #HM4EVR 👸🏼 send pics gettinnNNn buck wild in honor of this special day! #letsplayadrinkinggame watch HM and every time someone says her name take a shot! Yiew hew!"

Cyrus' message to her co-host Jason Earles, who played her brother in the series, left grown Hannah Montana fans ecstatic.

Comments on this post include:

strawberryheadaches "I always wish I could go to another best of both worlds concert! You have always been a big inspiration of mine from when I was little to now!"

_s.g.l "I can read this over and over again and I will still cry @chester.lam"

Clearly Hannah Montana has grown up and left her teen pop star image far in her past with that caption and the Instagram images that followed this post.

She let fans know she was reminiscing and watching the series, but not without letting them forget she had outgrown the innocent image.

Cyrus wasn't the only one to take to social media showing their love for the show and celebrate it's 10 year anniversary.

Jason Earles, who played Jackson Stewart (Miley's older brother), also posted a number of pictures on his Instagram account.

Emily Osment, who played Lilly Truscott (Miley's best friend,) also took to her Instagram with this photo.

Mitchel Musso, who played Oliver Oken (Miley and Lilly's friend,) also took to Instagram expressing his love for his previous cast mates.

Billy Rae Cyrus, who played Robby Ray Stewart (Miley's dad,) also sent out a quick recognition of the anniversary.

The love didn't stop there. Fans covered social media with pictures, quotes and expressions of love. #10YearsofHannahMontana was trending on twitter for most of the day. The cast continued to take to social media with memories and it was overall a day that was "One in a Million."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
