Often times, I find myself online for help with homework, studying, shopping, etc. Through my time spent online, I have found multiple websites extremely useful and I think other people should be aware of these websites because it can help them save time and money.

1. Grammarly

The site allows you to download Grammarly to Chrome for free. A little button will be added to the top right of the screen and it will appear every time you open your browser. This allows you to use Grammarly to check the spelling and grammar in you papers, emails, and even social media posts.

2. Linkedin

This website allows you to create an online resume and it allows the user to connect with other professionals and employers. The website also has an app you can download to your phone for quick and easy access.

3. Google Docs

I use Google Docs the most because I have the habit of losing my flash drives. Google Docs automatically saves any work done, so I do not have to worry about remembering to hit save before exiting out every time.

4. WolframAlpha

This site is extremely helpful in almost any course. You just type in a math equation or a question, and the search engine finds the answer for you. The website also explains how it got the answer step by step as well.

5. Google Calendar

I often use Google Calendar on my phone. This way I can keep track of club meetings, events, and even work. This way I don't have to keep a physical calendar in my room and I can access it anywhere, anytime.

6. Duolingo

This website helped me brush up on my Spanish before my trip to the Dominican Republic. You can choose any language you want to learn for free. You also can unlock achievements, and set a goal of how much you want to practice a day. The goals can range from five to twenty minutes a day and, to make things easier, there is a mobile app that can be downloaded as well.

7. Swagbucks

I absolutely love this app. You earn credits that can be redeemed for gift cards by watching videos and answering survey questions. The best way to use this site is by getting credits for shopping, so when I buy or rent my textbooks from Amazon, I actually get money back.

8. CitationMachine

Every paper I have to write I have to cite my sources in APA. This website lets me search for the journal, book, film, or etc. citation format that I need. They create the citation in seconds and all I have to do is copy and paste it into my reference page.

9. Lizardpoint

I used this website almost weekly last semester because my globalization class required me to name every single country in the world. Aside from geography quizzes, Lizardpoint also has quizzes for flags of the world, art, and math!

10. EF Tours

I have used this website multiple times and have traveled abroad using this company twice. You can travel abroad as a school group or individually. Usually, these trips count as a cultural internship. You can use the website to keep track of payments, travel information, and it has a variety of trips to choose from. The two educational programs I did were to Italy and Spain, and then a trip to the Dominican Republic where I was actually able to practice Social Work.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
