10 Ways To Spring Break With No Regrets
Her Campus

Spring break has finally arrived! You've been waiting for months, ticking off the days since the semester started. The question now becomes, what will you do with all of your blissful time away from school? Well here is a list of 10 things you should not regret doing over spring break if, like me, you don't have any big plans.

1. Staying home!

While your besties are off traveling the country and even the world, it is perfectly acceptable to stay with your family at home. While your friends are exploring all the corners of the globe, you can explore all the corners of your house and let that sense of nostalgia overwhelm you in your childhood home.

2.Sleeping! You’ve been pulling all-nighters to

get all that college work done. You are definitely entitled to sleep in till
noon a time or two… or nine over spring break.

3.Not getting that spring break bod. In fact, it’s totally fine to eat your weight in chocolate while you are enjoying your time

off of school.

4. Netflix - everyone’s favorite past time.

You know you have that huge list of new shows and movies to get through, and what better time to escape to a fantasy world than spring break, when you have no obligations.

5. You can always hang out with your family too!

There’s absolutely no shame in that. You might even need to spend some quality time with your parents and siblings who you haven’t seen in weeks or months in order to recharge your social battery before returning to college.

6. Posting fake Insta pics to make your life look more exciting.

If you’re feeling particularly left out, you can always post photo-shopped Instagram pictures to give the appearance of being anywhere but home. Who knows maybe you really did climb Mt. Everest or walked with lions in the Serengeti. If you’ve got pictures, you’ve got proof!

7. Living vicariously through your friends who actually did go on vacation.

Go ahead and spend hours on Instagram and Facebook pouring over your friends’ real pictures of their fabulous vacations. Maybe if you have a good enough imagination you can pretend you’re sipping margaritas on the beach next to them.

8. Read a book.

It’s ok. Let your nerd freak fly! Thanks to the imagery of the written word you can escape the confinement of your four bedroom walls.

9. Learn a new skill.

Pick up juggling! Come on. You know you want to. Who doesn’t want to learn how to entertain yourself and others while learning a clown’s trade secret?

10. Finally, connect with your other peeps from high school who realized they were either too broke or too lazy to go anywhere else for spring break.

Make your staycation into a real party by catching up with old friends who also stayed in town. You must have a lot to catch up on!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
