10 Ways To Relieve Stress During Finals Week

It's that time of the year, friends. Get ready for lots of blood, sweat, and tears ... lots and lots of tears. It's finals week! Here are some ways to relieve that ever-so unavoidable stress we're all about to endure for the next few days.

1. Breathe

It's only one week out of your life that will make or break your semester, just remind yourself of this and you should be fine — hopefully.

2. Take a study break

I mean, if Ryan Gosling is telling you to then how could you say no?

3. Go on a run

Running is actually one of the biggest stress-relievers out there. So go lace up those running shoes and get to steppin'!

4. Listen to music

Don't be ashamed of loving Justin Bieber's new album. Turn that bad boy on repeat and the volume up and have your own mini dance party in your room (not like you haven't already).

5. Comfort food

Forget the diet you've already failed at staying on all semester. Binge eat as much grease and sweets as you need, you deserve it.

6. Call your mom

Sometimes crying to your mom about how stressed you are is actually what you need. She'll let you know everything is OK and remind you that you'll be eating her home cooked food in just one short week. Bye, fale sodexo chicken!

7. Study in groups

Sometimes studying with a group of people actually makes the studying that much easier. You can ask questions and swap study guides since y'all know you haven't even started on them yet.

8. Turn the phone off

Seriously, turn it off. I get your new "bae" just DM'd you on Instagram but dude, if you don't pass this history final you can kiss that Dean's List spot good-bye.

9. Make a list

Planning out everything you need to do for the week will make your life seem a little less hectic. But only if you stick to it.

10. Coffee, coffee and more coffee

Drink it up, pal. You've got some long nights ahead of you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
